WHAT UP FAMILY!

Alright, so this week, nothing really crazy, or out of the ordinary, or troll-related happened, We´ve just been trying to get ourselves in gear and show the whole mission how great we are. It feels weird being out here for almost 21 months, but I´m getting used to it. And I know that, right when I´m completely used to being a missionary, I´ll be on the plane ride home... all we really did was clean the house today. I sent some pictures with this though :) some are from last week, and some are from a leadership meeting, where I talked to an Hermana from Costa Rica who finishes her mission the same day I do :p so we became friends because of that :) that´s really all I got this week, the rest can wait to be seen, or said in person, haha. I feel like all this time has passed so fast. see you all soon! :D

HOLA FAMILIA!

Okay, so before I forget, I have a story of the weirdest Mexican lunch I`ve ever eaten, but this time, it wasn`t for the food :p
So, we walk up to the door (The sister lives in the edge of the outskirts of the ends of the earth of our area), and we thought it would be a normal meal like any other.... we were wrong.
First, The hermana`s son answers the door in a superman shirt. and he answers the door in his Superman stance. Chest puffed out, hands on his hips and everything. and E`Poma was like, "WOW! I had no idea Superman lived here!" and we walk in. when we got into the house, the hermana`s nephew walked in, dressed in red, white and blue, and I was like, "Look! even Captain America came to eat with us!" and suddenly, the baby starts crying. Superman walks over, picks up the baby, and says: "Don`t cry, Hulk, don`t cry." And E`Poma and I were out of our minds like "ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Hulk lives here too?!" and then we started to eat. We were waiting for Thor, so that we could have the complete group, but we were completely unprepared for the next dinner guest.
Just as we started getting comfortable with the fact that we were eating with the Avengers, we hear the door slowly start to open...
Suddenly, A fat Mexican man in a white wife-beater, with spiked, bleached hair and tatoos walks into the room and yells at superman, "Where are my sandals?!" And E`Poma leans over and says to me, "I didn`t know Goku lived here too!!" hahaha, we were dying trying not to laugh, because Goku was genuinely mad, attacking Superman, and we didn`t want to make him angrier by letting him know that we knew his real identity.
Anyway, that`s my story for the week. and also, today, we had a heart to heart with the whole missionary zone. It was some crazy stuff. it was awkward, but we all talked about our lives before the mission, why we`re here, and how we`ve changed (And how we haven`t changed, for some of us, haha). I was way spiritual and relaxing, even though some people in our zone talk for hours, but it`s all good.
Anyway, I think that`s all for this week. 4 months left and I can start telling these stories in person.. I`m outie, gotta get preaching.

STAY IN SCHOOL! KEEP PRAYING!

Love,

February 3 2014

Hola familia!

What up everyone? okay, so my Argentinian phase officially ended yesterday. Rush Hour is back in action, but Jackie Chan only wants to sleep now... which is kind of weird. I`ll snap him out of it >:)
So this week was awesome, even though we didn`t actually TEACH much, we had a few adventures. the first in that we put on a show in the ward family home evening: The Three Little Pigs (in spanish). I put some pretty self-explanatory pictures here, so that was fun. second, we went to the temple, which was huge adventure in itsalf! everything that could`ve gone wrong, went wrong, but we were a group a valiant missionaries and mambers, and we weren`t about to let a few setbacks send us away from the temple. besides, we had already driven 1 hour, why not 4 more? the hermano we went with got sick, so we gave him a blessing, but he stayed sick the whole drive there until we could get him to a doctor :p then we got there late, so we had to wait even longer to get into the session, then, the icing on the cake: the temple store closes at 2:00pm, and we got there at 2:01. I know, it´s like a movie, and it was already closed! But we were NOT about to be done in that easily. we heard the lady typing on the other side of the door, so we stood there knocking til she paid enough attention to us to let us in (after the temple president told her to ;) ), and we bought what we needed, in spite of all the death threats she made to me (she made them as if she was joking.... but I have a feeling I`ll still need to watch my back in 4 months :p hahaha). and that´s only part of our grand temple adventure. there´s a LOT of oposition when someone wants to do the right thing. not to mention the drive back, but that`s another story :p
And lastly, I was reading a book about the teachings of David O. Mckay, and guess who´s family shows up on page 244 of the spanish version? haha, exactly, I sent that picture too :p

Well, those are my updates. for right now at least. we´ve had a week full of adventures, and all of them wouldn`t even fit here, but those were the highlights.
Until next week! stay in school!

Stormy's blog for January 27 2014:

WHAT UP FAMILIA,

Okay, so this week has probably been the most frustrating week of my life! haha, let`s see, where do I begin...
So, I wrote last week about the transfers, and I had no clue what I was getting myself into. Okay, so first off, When they told me they were sending me to a new area, I didn`t know I`d be opening the area, that means there was no one in the area before so no one`s gonna be showing me the ropes, I have to find them alone for two weeks :p ALSO, they sent me an Elder from Argentina straight out of the MTC, so I have to train him too for 2 weeks until my companion finishes training the Argentine`s trainer. Haha, who know`s why the mission president did this, but I feel entrusted with almost TOO MUCH responsibility... But it`s cool, if this is how God wants things, I`ll get the job done. haha, I guess this is what I get for praying for leadership opportunities :p but Rush Hour will be back with a vengance next week >:)
In other news, and the same news at the same time, we`re living 4 to a house right now... so that`s new, because we had to put mattresses in the kitchen so Jackie Chan and I would have a place to sleep :p
In our first week in Pinos, we`ve found 6 new investigators, and 2 of them are already preparing to be baptized, so this week, I`ve learned that diligence really does get you blessings :) I just can`t wait until this week ends so the dynamic duo can get itself back on track >:)
That`s what I`ve got for today, and a couple pictures. stay in school!!! And don`t ruin your life... it`s not as cool as everyone thinks.

Love (Because Jackie Chan says I need to show more),
