BLOG TIME:

Hello folks! well the mission just gets crazier and crazier. I thought the baptisms of last week would be the highlight for a while, but this just in! I`ve been changed to a new mission! Mexico Queretaro is what it`s called, and change of address and stuff will be coming soon. looks like they needed some superpowered spirits up here, haha, who better to call than Stormy Sheppard? but yeah, that`s really all for right now, because I don`t really have any info besides that :p but more next week when I get my feet on the ground here in Queretaro :p nos vemos!!! :D

Blog Time:

Familia! Como esta?  okay, so this week has been npretty much a repeat of the last.  Fabiola spoke with the mission president again, and still can't be baptized.  I have no idea why but I'm sick of it.  also  she lost her keys somewhere in the vicinity of the church yesterday, and we actually haven't been able to leave the building since haha. it's so far from our house and she's our only ride. we didn't sleep here, haha but we did have to come back in a taxi today to help her search again. we've been here since 9:30am, and that's really the only big even of this week...I've also officially been on a mission for a year and 5 days :) how cool's that? but I've realized that I still don't know anything :p I'll keep you guys posted, but eat your fruits and vegetables ad stuff.
p.s. the president and I don't get along so well...Elder Sheppard

Okay everyone! how's life? how's America? Well Mexico and I are great:) we've decided to really get into the grind this week, and we've found like 5 new people!and two of them have already accepted the gospel :) I've strengthened my testimony in a ton of things this week, one of them being fasting. that's definitely one thing that's never failed me out here. as for Fabiola, still can't be baptized, but we're working on it, because she's the one that's been preaching and helping us find all of these new people she's a better church member than most of the church members I know, so we gotta get her in the water haha. well, that's all for this week.  Its been fantastic.  11 months left my friends. . .

Hola Familia!

What up? how`s life? okay, first update guys, I weighed myself here for the first time, and I`ve lost 51 pounds! how cool is that? but anyway, we`re starting to make a ton of progress with finding new people to teach, so i hope it starts to yield pleasing results soon. hmmm.... still speaking spanish, and still learning a ton. but nothing too drastic. but keep praying and all that good stuf. just remember everyone, God has not forsaken you.

Family, hey, okay, so this week, nothing too drastic happened this week, honestly I need to start stepping up my game.  a lot of missionaries that come up on the year mark end up falling into laziness, and I need to get out of that rut before it starts.  I ate the hottest salsa I've ever eaten here. it was from the US. and it almost made my EARS BLEED it was so bad. also , story of the week: this woman ran up to us it the street and yelled, "MORMONS"?!?! and we were like, "...yes...?" and she says, "YOU'RE POLYGAMISTS THEN! I'M READING A BOOK THAT JOHN SMITH WROTE WHERE HE SAYS HE'S IN HELL BECAUSE HE HAS 7 WIVES!!!" then she said this insult that I can't explain in English, and walked away.  If she would've stayed, I would've said this insult that I can't explain in English, and walked away.  If she would've stayed, I would've said, "Lady, there are so many things wrong with what you just said, that I'm not even gonna dignify you, or the pastor who told you to tell us that garbage, with a response. "hahaha there's so much to learn here and I have a lot of work to do folks, keep praying stay in school and all that. talk to ya next week.

Hola Familia,

Haha well, I've finally been on a mission 10 months.  I'm comin' up on that one year mark. just here to fill you all in, okay, so my companion was transfered this morning randomly...the only one I've gotten along with so far and we were together the shortest time...go figure, anyway,  have a new companion now that seems kind of dry, but we'll see.   you can't judge a book by it's cover anyway.  Fabiola is still working on leaving her work behind she has said that she wants to get baptized, but we've  explained to her that she can't do it while she's working in what she is working in, let's see...hmmm...well, I'm in a very positive mood about my new companion so hopefully this goes well.  I received a letter this week  that pretty much changed my whole outlook on the mission and life in a good way. well I'm off to change some lives! good luck with everything and I'll talk to you in a month over Skype, family!!!

Hola familia!
Como estan? okay, so this week was pretty cool. we met Fabiola´s daughter and she wanted to go to church again too so we brought them both for the second time. and good news: Fabiola´s looking for a new job! haha we got so happy when she told us. It´s because she´s realizing why she´s not as close to God as she´d like to be, and she wants her daughter to live with her again. that was the best update of this week. we were interviewed by the mission president today.... that was cool. and really nothing else haha. still growing (and shrinking ;) ) a ton and learning a lot about the Heaven´s and the earth every day. here on earth, it´s hard at times, but we just need to remember what it is that really matters in this life. and why we´re here. I love you all. suerte. talk to ya next week!
